6th Annual Immortalized: Sometimes Beauty Never Fades

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are pleased to announce their 6th annual art exhibit devoted to hot rods and customs of distinction entitled "IMMORTALIZED: Sometimes Beauty Never Fades".  This event is an art auction charity benefit that will feature a group of nationally recognized artists where all artworks will be auctioned off starting at only $100.   Gallery proceeds will go to Distinction's annual art scholarship donation for Palomar College students in honor of Charles "Chuck" Leslie Walker.
 
A special lineup of custom cars, including cars built by Hot Rods and Custom Stuff and Super Rides by Jordan, will be hand selected by Chick Koszis and displayed in front of the gallery.  The overall event will run in conjunction with Escondido's famous "Cruisin’ Grand" which will have an incredible line-up of the finest and most unique customs and hot rods.
 
This event is free to the public, but a suggested donation of $5 to benefit Cruisin’ Grand would be appreciated. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6-9pm with Live Music by Duo with Buzz Campbell (Hot Rod Lincoln / Lee Rocker) and Jonny Bowler (Guana Batz).  VIP Pre-Party tickets ($20) from 5-6pm include Stone Beer, wine and food from Vinz Wine Bar, treats from EscoGelato and conversation with the artists, sponsors and car owners. 
 
There will be awards for artists and also a Pinup contest with a Special Guest Judge, so come dressed in your best vintage outfit!
 
Gregorio Escalante is the co-founder of Juxtapoz Magazine, the owner of Copro Gallery, and has recently opened a new gallery, Gregorio Escalante Gallery in Chinatown Los Angeles.  He has been a pivotal figure in the contemporary art movement for 20+ years.
