Cine en el Parque: Calle 54

Spend your evening with other movie lovers at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido for Cine en el Parque every Saturday night in September! Bring chairs and blankets for your comfort, and enjoy great films under the stars! Films in English will include Spanish subtitles and films in Spanish will include English subtitles. Calle 54 ? Filmmaker Fernando Trueba was introduced to Latin jazz in the 1980s and has since become a devoted fan of the music. Trueba took his love of the music one step further with the documentary Calle 54, in which he gathered together a number of his favorite Latin jazz artists for a series of interviews and performances at the Sony Music recording studios in New York City. The artists include two pioneering Latin jazz stars, percussionist Tito Puente and horn player Paquito D?Rivera. Rated G. Spanish. For more information, visit artcenter.org.
