Community Movie Night: Special Event!

SAN DIEGO, CA – Community groups, businesses, and first-responders work together to promote community unity in the area of Inland North County.

Community Movie Night was launched in July, 2015 by Peñasquitos Lutheran Church in an effort to build a greater sense of community in the neighborhood of Rancho Peñasquitos. Since the launch of Community Movie Night, the church, working alongside local businesses, has created a monthly event that connects neighbors with one another and fosters greater community connection.

On Friday, November 20, 2015 officers from the San Diego Police Department and firefighters from San Diego Fire-Rescue will be at the event to connect with the community and display some of their equipment. Event organizer Walter Bush explains, “It is our hope that this event shows the good relationship that our community has with our police and fire departments, and encourages a positive relationship moving forward.”

From 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., the San Diego Police Department and San Diego Fire-Rescue will provide free giveaways, prizes, information and hands-on demonstrations. Afterwards the movie “Sneakers” (Rated PG-13) will be shown in the church’s 450 seat auditorium on two screens.

“Please come out and join us for this community event,” Bush said. “Together, let’s show the world how we promote our local businesses plus how we honor & respect each other here in America’s Finest City.”
