The Head to Toe Women’s Expo returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds November 11, 12 & 13 giving mothers, daughters and girlfriends a chance to run wild during a weekend of inspiration, education and entertainment.

Dr. Palm’s presentation “Fall into Great Skin” is hosted by Scripps Health and takes place in the exhibition hall. Complimentary & private skin cancer screenings by Dr. Palm will follow the talk on Saturday afternoon to raise awareness about early detection & prevention of melanoma.

Dr. Melanie Palm is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon at Surfside Dermatology in Encinitas, where she offers a full-spectrum of both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Known as a rising star in the medical community, Dr. Palm graduated with high distinction from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and also received her MBA at the Booth Graduate School of Business. She is the nation’s youngest doctor to become an educational consultant and physician trainer for Sculptra®Aesthetic, which is a unique revolumizing agent for the face. This elite group of physicians only instructs dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and oculoplastic surgeons because of the rigorous nature of the training program.

Dr. Palm lectures nationally and internationally on laser and filler technology. She is also an accomplished writer and has published several research articles in peer-reviewed literature. Her work has been awarded by the Young Investigator's Writing Competition from the journal Dermatologic Surgery and the organization the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Palm enjoys being active in the philanthropic community of San Diego. Throughout the year she partners with like-minded businesses to raise money for the Skin Cancer Foundation & to provide complimentary skin cancer screenings outside of her medical office. She regularly volunteers her services for fundraising events, and is a volunteer physician at UC-San Diego’s VA hospital.
