Go Tell It On the Mountain: The Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show

For foot-stomping, roof-raising gospel music, there is simply no substitute for the Blind Boys of Alabama.  Recognized worldwide as living legends of the genre, the Blind Boys have been awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards by both The Grammys and The National Endowment for the Arts.  They are Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees who have performed for two presidents – and they show no signs of slowing down.

Longevity and major awards aside, The Blind Boys have earned praise for their remarkable interpretations of everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by acclaimed songwriters such as Curtis Mayfield, Ben Harper, Eric Clapton, Prince and Tom Waits. Millions have watched them on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, the Grammy® Awards, 60 Minutes, and their own PBS holiday special.

Now, the Poway Center is honored to welcome the Blind Boys in this special holiday program.
