Insights - Economic Future and Threats of Housing

Hosted by

Economic Future and Threats of Housing

2016 was an unprecedented, volatile and, for some, excruciating 12 months. And the housing market was not immune to the year’s whims. Existing home prices are at all-time highs and the production of new homes and apartments is lagging, exacerbating the shortage of homes in this demand starved market.

This housing crisis is having economic impacts on consumers, businesses and home buyers regardless of whether they are first time buyers, or move down buyers.

Topics of discussion for this breakfast will include:
  •        Regional housing needs today and tomorrow
  •        Housing impact on businesses and consumers
  •        Is YOUR city meeting its area housing commitments?
  •        Factors driving the cost of housing up and future threats
  •        Forecasted growth in population driving more housing needs
