Guest Speaker: Meredith McMackin, Gold Star Mother
Meredith McMackin is a Gold Star Mother and founder of "Julian's Creative Arts Workshop" in honor of her son, USMC Cpl. Julian McMackin Woodall, whom she lost in compat in Iraq in 2007.
Meredith's work using papermaking as a therapeutic process began in 2012 when she launched the first Peace Paper Project at Florida State University. She is bringing her Paper Making Workshop to CSUSM April 24 - 27.
All are invited to the Observance on April 26, and to drop in (10-15 minute commitment) to participate in the paper making project anytime from April 25-27.
