STEP Baby Drive for Military Families
Please support our local military and Veteran families.
This March donate to Support The Enlisted Project (STEP)'s Baby Drive to meet the ever-growing baby hygiene needs of local young military families.
In 2019, we were able to bring in an amazing $62,000 worth of baby necessities for our military families facing a financial crisis. The supply was depleted in 6 months. After seeing this need in our community, we knew we had to do something big. In late 2019 we became a Diaper Bank distribution site in partnership with The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Through this program, every family in need who walks through our doors receives a pack of diapers. In 2020, we served 6,512 children and distributed 136,230 baby diapers, but the need hasn’t ended as the COVID-19 crisis continues.
This year's goal is $80,000 in baby hygiene products, with 10% in monetary donations due to the pandemic. This would allow us to give 2 packages of baby wipes, diaper rash cream, a bottle of baby shampoo, and baby powder to each of the 3,000 families with young children we serve over the course of one year.
