We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our flagship store in scenic Rancho Bernardo! 

We're looking for an experienced Store Manager with a deep understanding of retail operations. With 4-5 years of experience, you're proficient in retail software, excel at delivering outstanding customer service, and know how to create a welcoming and positive shopping experience. In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations, train new team members, maintain optimal efficiency, and ensure our inventory is always stocked. If you're skilled in communication, sales, inventory management, product expertise, team leadership, customer service, loss prevention, store operations, visual merchandising, and driving efficiency, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee General Retail Store Operations:

  • Opening and closing of retail location store
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and secure store environment.
  • Maintain attractive merchandising of displays and POS
  • Daily activity reporting

Sales Revenue Targets

  • Achieve agreed-upon sales revenue targets
  • Be an expert in our sports equipment and how it benefits our customers
  • Understand the needs of the customers
  • Sell the best equipment to help our customers be the best at their sport

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service & Experiences

  • Provide an inviting and happy shopping experience for our customers
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Point of contact for thoughtful and empathetic handling of customer concerns and requests

Ensure Operational Efficiency

Team Management & Coaching

  • Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Ensure the store complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including labor laws and health and safety standards.

  • Ensure timely arrival and time execution of teammates
  • New Teammate Hiring

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a store manager or in a similar retail management role, preferably in the sporting goods industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using POS systems and other retail management software.
  • Passion for sports and knowledge of sporting goods and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
