DylanEconomic Development & Advocacy Meeting
This month the Economic Development Council will be reviewing a critical home development measure, The Better Choice Measure, that will be featured on the ballot in March 2020.
The Better Choice Measure, if approved, will provide 2,135 new homes to San Diegans with more than 60% affordably priced for working families. The project will provide housing less than 2 miles away from major job hubs in Escondido, San Marcos, and Vista.
The Measure seeks to affirm the County Board of Supervisors' unanimous approval of the Newland Sierra Project back in September of 2018.
If the Measure is not approved the property will be developed into a large 2 million square-foot retail and office center that will feature 99 luxury homes.
