Presents Seven Business and Leadership Awards

San Diego, June 30, 2023 – On June 22, the North San Diego Business Chamber awarded seven total Leadership Awards to small and large businesses, one Non-Profit, two individual business leaders, and two Emerging Leaders during their Celebration of Business.

The 2023 Leadership Awards honor individuals, businesses and organizations that demonstrate achievement in management, workplace excellence and social responsibility, with a commitment to San Diego, according to chamber officials.

“Reflecting on the 2023 Celebration of Business, our annual event honoring the best in San Diego County’s business community, we witnessed a remarkable showcase of achievement, excellence, and social responsibility,” said Chris Thorne, the chamber’s new CEO. “From recognizing outstanding individuals to supporting our transitioning military members, it was a night filled with inspiration and gratitude. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to outgoing CEO Debra Rosen for her invaluable contributions in shaping a vibrant business landscape in San Diego.”

Winners were selected by four judges from San Diego Media based on merits of the nomination submitted and included:

Business of the Year, Large Company, MyPoint Credit Union

Business of the Year, Medium/Small Business, Alhiser-Comer Mortuary

Business Leaders of the Year included:

Kristin Gaspar, President and CEO of Palomar Health

Todd Yates, West Area Manager at Hire Heroes

Emerging Leaders of the Year included:

Emily Hill, Assistant Dean of Marketing and Recruitment at USD - Knauss School of Business

Frank Fleming, Production Engineering Manager at Catalent Pharma Solutions

Non-Profit of the Year, Live Well San Diego
